    Hi Terri.

My favorite makeup is by fare Bare Essentials.  It is made completely out of minerals and it's in a powder form so it looks very natural and gives you healthy looking skin.  They have everything foundation, blush, mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipstick and gloss, and everything else in between.  They also have a product called Mineral Veil which is a sheer translucent powder that you put on after the rest of your makeup and it gives you a very smooth complexion.  They sell Bare Essentials at Sephora and at the Bare Essentioals store (however, there aren't man of these).  You can also purchase it online at www.bareessentials.com.  It may appear a bit pricey at first at about $20-$25 dolloars a thing but it will last you anywhere from 4-6 months.  I highly recommend them.

    Talk to ya later.

    Hey terri,

I don't have a certain brand of makeup that I use, But i do use certain colors.

from experimenting i've learned that blue does NOT look good on me or really on anyone with blue eyes, of course there's always exceptions!  I use all brown makeup. brown eye shadow, eye liner, adn mascara.  At first i thought it would make my eyes to dark for my skin, but i actually really like it. So that's what i would try i think it'll look great!

    Terri,

I have been wearing make up forsix or seven years, and I havee always used Clinique. They have been the only brand to offer anything light enough without washing me out, and they are hypoallagenic so it doesn't bother sensitive skin or cause breakouts. I usually go to Dillards to purchase my stuff, but they can be found in most any department store. Best of luck!!!

    God bless,

Re: teen girls girls women/ lady little help

I just shopped for make up today lol like someone else stated I dont use a particulair brand just certain colors. for my foundation and powder I use and Ivory which i usually buy cover girl for that and then i use a brownish black mascara (from my experience black is just tooo much) as far as eye shadows go like they said blues realy dont work i too use alot of browns and light pinks. It is alot of trial and error. I dont usually wear lipstick but when i do its either again a brown or a light pink. as far as eye liner goes I am not skilled enough to put it on myself but on the rare occasions that i wear i use a brown for that as well again I found black is just wayyyyyy to much. Hope this helps

    God Bless

I wear the lightest foundation they have, but always test it on your skin. Some brands make my skin orange. Hmm

For blush I also wear the lightest pink. But again, be sure to test it on your hands...some are darker than you want, and some are light.

Hi,  I'm not a teen, but an older woman.  I just came into this forum to see what's there.

As far as makeup goes, and I've been using it for a very long time, I tend to go for the "cool" tones, mainly the lightest.  Many of the makeups today are coded for warm, cool, or neutral.  Makeup tends to want to turn orange on me, so I stick with cool tones.  Blue's ok depending on the shade, like a blue grey or something like that.

As for foundation, I use L'oreal true match, and I use C1 (c for cool) and I'll use powder of C1 and then blush of either a C or N (neutral).

I don't usually use too much on my eyes, because of allergies.  I'll end up crying all day.

    OK, hope that is helpful.

Re: teen girls girls women/ lady little help

     Hello!

I have always had a really hard time finding foundation that blends in with my skin. There are so many brands that don't make it pale enough! After years of looking for a nice lightweight make-up that fit my skin tone (Bare Essentials also did not have it, is that the name of the powder stuff?) I found MAC, You can find the in Macy's. The foundation is nice and light weighte on your skin and it blends very well with you skin tone.

Make sure to always moisurize (sp) before putting foundation on. It helps precent wrinkles, it had an SPF in it for sunburns, and it will prevent achne fro any kind of foundation getting into your pores.

I use black mascarra (sp) for my eyes. It makes them pop more before I am so washed out to begin with. I read once that black is best for blondes for that reason and to avoid brown for the eye lashes.

I also use MAC eye shadows because they are really pretty, but you can use what you want. It's fun because we are a clean pallot to play with for colors, so have fun!

Re: teen girls girls women/ lady little help

after almost ten years of experimenting with make up, i've found that the best wayto find the right make up for you colour wise is just experiment, play with it and see what looks best on you

I have found that l'oreal waterproof mascaras are the BEST for my easily watery eyes. i've tried other waterproof brands but they always leve a "racoon" effect after a couple of hours which is really not nice lookinhg

i don't really wear much make upand one of the reasons is living in italy there isn't really a market for people with very fair and sensitive skin, and those very few brands that do deal with sensitive skin like dior are REALLY expensive

I recently found out on an english magazine, about a new range of make up especially created for girls with very very fair skin called Danty Doll and it's distributed by Jelly Pong Pong, i can provide the link to purchase them from if anyone is interested

I tried one of their concelears and one of the foundations and I have to say they are AMAZING!!

another trick  for foundation is buy white one and then mix it with a fair colour foundation and you'll get a very good colour.

always makes sure there are no waxes in the eye make up and no oils in the foundation/powder/blusher as waxes and oils are products people with very sensitive skin should avoid
