    Botox and Ocular Albinism

My specialist suggested botox injections in my eye muscles to correct my shaky eye condition that I have along with my OA and astigmatism. To my knowledge my eyes shake quickly when looking at a moving object. I don't feel it, but you can see it happen if you look into my eyes. My doctor says I could notice an improvement with the botox. I've been getting the injections every 4 months and I'm going on my 4th injection which should be my last one.  So, far I've notice the following :

     1. Cosmetically my eyes shake less, so people don't notice the freakiness of them much..

    2. My confidence levels increased

    3. My vision did not improve.

    4. It seems that I'm even more sensitive to light now

    5. A few months after my 1 st injection, I started getting these weird tension headaches, that go down my neck. I thought it was stress related, but the stress may be coming from the fact, that I'm even more sensitive to light perchance.

Has anyone else with OA use botox in their eyes?  What was your experience?  I'm not sure I'm going to continue with the botox. I cancelled my last appointment a couple of weeks ago.

I truly understand what you are saying.  I have not tried the botox but no one has ever mentioned it to me.  They just tell me my eyes will never get any better.  If you cannot see any better and are more sensitive to light I would not take any more.  You may be doing more damage than doing good.
