NOAH AOC

I've been a member of NOAH for a little over 2 yrs now.  Why I have never been here I couldn't tell ya!  I'd like to meet people in Louisiana w/ albinism (from other places too!! I'm just in LA so......)  My son is 3 1/2 yrs old and has albinism.  He's my only boy out of four kids.  My girls are 7,6,and 16 mo old.

Yes, my grandson is 5, he is oca. We live in Winnfield, La. which is in central La. My daughter would love to meet and talk to others. My grandson just had surgery on 07/03/08 for his nystagmus. Praying it will help.

I hope all goes well with the surgery your grandson had.  My son is 4 yrs old, close to your grandson's age.  Maybe one of these days we can meet up.

The surgery went well, waiting to see what effect it has had. Cade still has a few days before his eyes will cleared up from the redness and swelling. What kind of albinism does your son have? We are pretty sure Cade is OCA, or at least thats what the pediatrician has told us. We haven't had him tested. He has beautiful silvery white hair, pale skin and blue eyes. His vision with correction is right eye,20/125 and left eye 20/150. The nystagmus had gooten worse and that was the reason for surgery. Hopefully it will be some improvement in his sight. We did not know about the convention in time, but hope to attend the next one if possible. About to start kindergarten, so I'm sure the challenge will be on. Is there a noah chapter in La.?
