Hi all....

My husband and I are talking and trying to see if we can afford to go to Vegas. I was just wondering who was going. It will be me and my husband, our 15 month old will will be 18 months at that time and out 3 1/2 year old daughter Katie. I think we will get there Wedenday night and leave Sunday. I hope we can get a direct flight, traveling with 2 lil ones should be interesting. I did not want the kids to go,but hubby does. I hope no one sees us on the news for getting thrown off a plane for crying kids, lol! I hope we can go and we an meet a lot of people I talk to on this board!

Hi I live in Alaska and we are planning on going to the conference.  I will be coming down with my three boys that have albinism.  13, 11 and 9 they are all looking forward to meeting and seeing others like them.  I am also trying to come in on Wednesday and leaving on Sunday.  With kids you need a little extra time to get things settled.  Hope to see you there.  If you have any questions just ask.  Lynn

 We'll be there.  Our kids are 3 and 5 (as of July 1).  Rooms and transportation are done!  We arrive on Wed. and fly out on Monday.  I have been working on teh registration form - trying to decide if we are going to do the AdventureDome or something different.  We had a blast in MN and are looking forward to 'Vegas Baby' to quote the kids.

We have talked about it and we are going. Now, he just has to research everything. I think I should send in the registration forms before he changes our minds, lol! It will be nice for when the kids get together, meeting people from all around! I am glad my 3 year old is very out going. She will play with and talk to anyone! I am also glad Andrew will know people that look like him too, or at least see like he does....

Do you know the family with 2 little girls who lives in Alaska?  They moved from IL and the husband is in the Air Force.  They moved this past summer.  I met them at a conference in IL and they are involved in NOAH, but I am not sure how much.

I can't remember their name right now, but I have it.  Just wondering if you have met anyone else in AK?  They are very nice people with 2 darling little girls.

My husband and I are going. We are also bringing our girls Karmella is 5yrs and Bethany will be 1 on July 30th. Bethany has OA. We couldn't find a start flight so we are flying from OH to Denver,CO and then to Las Vegas. We will arrive on on Weds and fly out on Mon. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone there.

We got our registration form is done and in the mail!! We are going to the AdventureDome. I hope there are things for Bethany to do there. Has anyone heard about htings for 1year olds? If so please let me know.

I can't wait to meet everyone see you there!! 

is anyone doing fundraising?? if so how? I thinkt hat is the only way we could get there. We have never been and my ds is 9! It is so close we could drive!! and camp if we needed too lol camping in vegas in the middle of the summer lol k we wouldn't camp. just wondering if anyone is fundraising.. 

We are not going to do fundraising, but letter writting. Our local groups. I hope to get some money. We have been saving too. Once we get back 6 letter we are going to see how much we get if we get any. Then apply with Noah. I think it is too late though for that. We just really want to go. Bu now, tshe plane tickets are 500 bucks a piece!!

Lion's club, Knights of columbus, Commission for the blind, YMCA, My in-laws synague (sp?) Amercian federation for the blind, local chapeter, oh yes and the Kiwanis club. I have my list, i just need to sit down and send them out asap!

My husband and I did a fundraiser. We sold pizza's and we also wrote the Lion's club. We had a great turn out with the pizza!! And the Lion's Club also helped us out. That is how we are able to go to Las Vegas. I think a Fundraiser would be a great idea it helped us alot!!

I have to write the letter. I haved looked at the fundraising packet from NOAH and their is a sample letter in there. Our printer is not working I have been relying on hubby to fix it. Basically, I am copying the letter that Noah has and just replacing the names and amounts needed. Would I NEED to do, is get the names of the presdents or higher ups in those organizations (local chapers) that i am sending the letters to,  so I can just do a copy and paste and get them in the mail. I the same as you have never done this before. I feel kinda funny. But, what do I have to lose. if they say no, they say no. But even if we get anything, this will help. Thank God, Andy is free, but our three year old cost. I just have to kick start myself. I want to get the plane tickets so, but we need the extra money to do so. Of course there is the credit card, but I rather pay it out right ya'know...

For those who are going, Are you staying at the same hotel? My husband was saying the Sahara has a better deal for tickets and hotel combo. It is across the street. But I want to stay where all the action is. Plus we are talking about babysiting, it would be easier staying at the same hotel. I was just wondering what everyone thinks they might be doing?
