Oh Roxanne, I wish you guys were going. Katie keeps asking me when she can play with Lexie and Matt"ie" again! When we get back, we must get together!

As for the walk, Friday night is the Park night, Thursday night is the meet and greet night I think. Either way, Thursday night or Friday night is fine with us. We are staying at the Hilton. So far, seems like we are the only ones not staying at the Rivera. I can not believe it is next week. It is taking so long to get here and now all of a sudden it is coming quick!!!

Is anyone taking the Phila flight at 8:30 Wednesday night?? That would be fun to see someone on the plane too!!!!

Making my lists and checking them twice (or 3 or 4 times). Hoping that I don't forget anything. However I did find out that there's a Walgreens just down the block from the Riviera, just in case! I think Mapquest said it was .3 miles (three tenths, not 3 miles) from the Riviera. That made me feel a lot better!

In my registration information it said that we'd need to bring something dressier for the banquet on Saturday night. How dressy does that mean? Nice capris, or does that mean skirt or dress? I just don't want to pack any more than I have to, so I thought I'd try to get someone that has went before maybe to clarify.

Can anyone tell me if this conference is annually?  Obviously its a bit too hard to save/fundraise for this year for me coming from Australia but I would love me and my boys to be a part of the next one! We have no support networks for this like you have and i am totally envious of you all! I would love to be able to see other babies and chat with you all... you have already been so supportive through this website.  Have fun! Wish i was there! 

The NOAH Conferences are every other year, not every year. If I'm not mistaken, we'll find out where the NOAH Conference will be in 2010 while we're in Vegas. I remember MiKah coming home from Minneapolis in 2006 telling us that it was in Las Vegas in 2008. In 2010, the little one will be 5, and hopefully we can make it a family vacation.

 The conference in the US is every other year, but Australia had it's first Albinism confrence this year.  There is support there!!!!  You aren't alone!!!  There is a yahoogroup, Albinism International, that is very informative and welcoming.  There are folks from all over the world on there and quite a few in Australia.  Look for Kim John - she is one of the moderators and is in Australia.   The 2010 conference will be somewhere along the east coast.  They rotate east, mid, west...

 

We leave in less than a week! The kids are excited - and we can't wait to get out of town.  We discovered a public transit system called Deuce Buss that you can ride for 2.50/day.  It goes to downtown Vegas (Fremont Street) and every hotel on the strip.  Good to know if you are walking with your kids and they are too worn out to walk back.  The blocks are not short blocks!
