Having albinism and riding a bike.

Ok I have albinism and ride a well not a tipical bike. I ride a recumbent trike and was wondering from you bikers out there if you found that the simplest things like finding a leak or changing a tire hard. If it take you longer to do a ride.

    cheers

I don't find things like that much harder i think. I ride a giant ocr 3 now and then, maybe need to start doing it NOW ;-) I also build and race my truck in the desert and yeah things are different for me then others but hey no ones perfect we all find our ways to make things work best.

Find me out in the dirt...

I ride a bike, but I have one challenge.  I can't tell how far I am away from things on my side in order to judge distance.  For example, if I'm riding on the sidewalk (on busy streets only) if I have to ride between a pole and the bus bench, I can't tell.  Or if I'm riding on the street, and there are parked cars, I don't want to get too much to the middle of the lane, but don't want to get too close to the parked cars either.  Any ideas on how others compensate?
