     Hello everyone,

        I am a freshman who lives Georgia. I am doing a research project for my biology class on Albinism. I still dont fully grasp all the "technical" issues and complications of having Albinism, but i would really like to know the mental effects it has on people. Does it effect your everyday life a lot? If so how? what are some problems that you run into during the day that most other people would not need to take the same precautions? Also i have read that people can have parents with colored hair and skin and they can be born with Albinism. So does this make Albinism a recessive allel or does it make it a genetic mutation. It's kind of a obvious question, but i can't seem to understand the answers i read off info pages. So if some one could put that into a high-schoolers perspective i would greatly aprieciate it....thanks a lot for everything hope you all are well.

Does it effect your everyday life a lot? If so how? Yes, in school I'm "different", w/ my vision I can't read everything so I use a magnifier for books, I get a copy of my notes we take in class && I use a monocular 2 see my assignments on the bored, i also use a program on my computer called zoomtext 2 get the text bigger

what are some problems that you run into during the day that most other people would not need to take the same precautions? hmm.... well if im outside I HAVE to have sunblock on if its sunny && im going 2 be out there for a while, I need my sunglasses b/c the light hurts my eyes, I should wear a hat b/c my scalp gets burned easy

albinism IS a genetic condition, bother parents must carry the gene in order for a person 2 be born w/ it, my parents don't have the condition, my mom's cousin does though..
