Just a random ? about you and sunscreen

So I am good at remembering to put sunscreen on my kids especially the two that have albinism however I don't seem to be to good at putting it on myself. This weekend we went out of town for a baseball tournament for my nephew and lets just say I came home a lobster. I am in so much pain and seriously bright red. How often do you forget to put sunscreen on yourself or am I just the only one?

    Hello

I am really bad at remembering to put it on myself. My oldest daughter Karmella never put sunscreen on she has that skin she doesn't burn she just tans, Well since we have found out about Bethany having OA we have been putting sunblock  on Bethany and Karmella. Well then we forget about ourselfs. I am very fair skin, my husband on the other hand isn't when he is out in th esun he may turn a little red but by  ends day he is tan. I burn. You would thik I would remember to put it on. I am always tekking the girls to come back so I can put more block on them. But never myself. How offerd so you refresh their sunblock?

Mother of two wonderful girls Karmella 5 and Bethany 1.

My husband is a Physician's Assistant in a dermatology office and all of us have very fair skin so I'm pretty good at putting it on all of us and I know if any of us get burned I will hear about it from my husband.  For myself (and the kids), I like the continuous spray sunscreens because it's quick to put on and you aren't spending a lot of time rubbing it in.  So, I can spray all of us quickly and move on.  My son is 4 and has never been sunburned and thankfully I can say the same for my daughter, Nicole (who has OCA).  And, we live in Florida and are outside a lot so it's a miracle that we aren't burned all the time.

As for reapplying, my husband says the sunscreen companies will tell you 4-6 hours but he recommends every 2 hours especially if you're swimming or sweating a lot.
