    We need to do something.....

A friend of mine set this article to me, warning some parts can be graphic.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/08/world/africa/08albino.html?ex=1370664000&en=6014579f3df88b32&ei=5124&partner=permalink&exprod=permalink

The gist:  People with albinism in Africa are being terrorized.  This is unacceptable!!!!  I am tired of being teased and made fun of.  Grant it, that was mostly in my childhood, but others are suffering much worse!!!  Now it is a life or death matter!  NOAH and others need to do something at least help them.  I am willing and able to do anything if I can, I just don't know how to do it.

I remember when Powder, the movie came out, and people kept telling me to do my magic or make things come back to life.  These people are being tortured and killed!!!!  The myths need to stop, and we need to do something about it!  I am willing to do anything, and someone needs to speak out!  I'm definitely willing to do it but don't know how!

     This must stop!

Bringing it to people's attention is a good start.    Global awareness can and has led to many dramatic changes in the past.

It is very sad that some people and some societies, more than others, fear and retaliate against that/those which they do not understand.

DONALDA wants to help Africa too!

I am presently recovering from 30 radiation therapy treatments, and I'm unable to go back to school and unable to work. So today I have a lot of free time on my hands.

My brain is presently healing from brain tumours that medical professionals keep trying to get rid of.

You see, the thing is; I'm a very gifted artist and an excellent poet (when my health is fine). Poetry is power you guys.

Here is just one example of my copyrighted poems:

    Living in Glass Houses

    Angry people, confused and lost,

Still pay the price at such a cost.

    Blocking out the childhood days,

Of innocence stolen from their ways.

Living in silence because of fear,

Too afraid to drop each lonely tear.

With pain so great, and causing strain,

Their heart's still crying like the rain.

Instead of going back in time,

They turn to alcohol, drugs and crime.

Whatever it takes to make it numb,

There are so many and not just some.

Viewing the world as a cold cruel place,

It's so easy to blame the human race.

But life doesn't really have to be this way,

They need someone to hear what they have to say.

To speak it, heal it, and grow like a seed,

A good listener is all they really need.

Feed back coming from one who knows,

Verbal impressions is where it all shows.

Once my body recovers from the radiation - I want to create some new political copyrighted poetry about Africa - so if anyone out there knows of any websites where I can submit it to - to help those in Africa - please don't hesitate to let me know as soon as possible, because I really want to help. I have written hundreds of poems, and over the years I've also been presented with several awards for outstanding achievement in poetry. I write about anything and everything. And most my poetry is very powerful and political. Perhaps my poetry can be used to some how help Africa.

As an elementary school girl I entered every drawing contest for certain occasions, and won all of them. Winning those contests was no big deal to me, because at the time I was just a kid - and the real reason why I competed was only to get the teachers off my back so they would finally leave me alone. Anyway - let me know if art or poetry or maybe even both would some how help Africa you guys. (It's just an idea).

P.S. I'm also a sculptor - born with several other artistic abilities. If that helps any.

Actually, To be honest - I've used several of my copyrighted poems to help families out before by publishing in newspapers - but in crisis situations when it comes to terrorism in third world countries? No - someone has to help me...

Please... Does anybody out there have any ideas?

    Thank you.

Donalda - wants to help Africa.

If we can get anything going with Africa - and since I have all the free time in the world right now - I have free long distance to call any where in Canada and in the U.S.  24/7/365. (I also have a cellular phone).

Perhaps if we put our heads together and do some brainstorming, there might be a lot we can do with free long distance and Internet access you guys.

I've also published a few copyrighted poems before in newspapers to help people during crisis, and for families after losing a loved one - but nothing major like this.

So if anyone out there has any ideas - please let me know A.S.A.P.

I'm extremely multi-talented. I really want to get involved in this situation. My poetry is authentic, exquisite, political and very powerful.

I should be able to write something by the beginning of July 2008.

    Thank you.
