I am curious about web designers out there as well....cost as well?  I had a college student helping me with full permission to use in his portfolio but he apparently bailed on me after 8-10 meetings....so now I'm SOL again but can't afford alot but need this done ASAP.

Unfortunately, the web design industry has its share unprofessional practitioners. Many people who know how to use Photoshop and browse the web try to pass themselves off as "professional designers"... There's a LOT more to web design than just making something look good. When you shop for web design services, be careful, as many designers have a tendency to quote a price and then nickel-and-dime you for extra services. Also ask if they know anything about accessibility, special needs, etc. The truly professional designers will know (AND CARE) about those things.
