I've really only had experience with soft contacts, and from what I heard, they all but took away the visibility of my nystagnus. Sadly, there doesn't currently seem to be any that fit my left eye (two seperate eye doctors independently tried), always slides off and gets very uncomfortable. So, I'm back to glasses.
Anyways, the only real reason I would use contacts, they are a hastle, is for nystagmus reduction -- help ease social awkwardness, not so much for friends/family but new acquantinces. So I'm considering trying hard contacts, to see if they will fit my left eye better than the soft lenses
Could somebody that uses hard contacts post a before/after video of contacts in and out on youtube or a similar service. By all means, create a ficticious account and just record your eye up close with a web cam, and msg me or put the url on here.
Lets face, just about everyone here wants to reduce their nystagmus. Any one that posts, I'm in your debt :)
