Hey, everybody.  I have flown before but never with an infant.  I know that I can check the car seat in at the airport and the stroller, however what about the base that the car seat fits in?  Has anybody ever done this?  My main question is this: Do you have to have the car seat for the shuttle bus that goes from the airport to the hotel or is like a bus (no seat belts)?  I am just trying to figure out these last minute details.  Thanks everbody..

We are using the car seats on the plane. I know when we took my daughter on a plane when she was 6 months old, the car seat we just attached to the base so it was like one piece only. When you collapsed the stroller it will be 2 pieces though. You would have to checked them at the gate, you might be charged for an extra piece. As for the bus, I would think the child would have to go in the car seat. What time r u landing? Maybe there will be people around that can help you from the conference. We are landing 10:30 Wednesday night. We are renting a car. We have family our there we are going to visit.I can not believe it is getting so close. I am so excited and cannot wait until we meet everyone!!!

We've thought about renting a car but are not planning on bringing a car seat on the plane.  Can you rent a car seat along with a car if we decide to go that route?  We are gate checking his stroller.

I am assuming you can, we were going to. Then realized we were bringing two toddlers on a plane, lol. Hence Andy getting his own seat. Marc is renting a car late tonight (4 vegas)if u have not rented a car yet I betcha the wizzard of making deals can find a good one,. I will let u know what he finds...
