    Headaches

Hello, This is my first post and even though it is not face to face I am a little nervous. Anyway, I am 31 years old, and for about the last 10 years I have had headahces at least 3 - 5 days a week and some of those headaches are actually migraines. My job does require that I be on a computer for a large portion of my day, however I did just get my employer to purchase me a 28" monitor. What I am really wondering is if anyone else has headaches like this and what do you do for them? I have been to a neorolgist who didn't seem to help and over the counter medication does not seem to be working anymore either.

    Re: Headaches

I also have migraines but don't have albinism and my son who also gets migraines and does have albinism found that our chiropractor could help. I can go in with a migraine and she does an adjustment and in about 20 minutes it is gone. She says it has something to do with the flow of blood to the head being disrupted by the bones that are out of alignment and they pinch the nerve ending. I can understand that if your hunched over a computer all day and sitting that it could cause some problems. My advice would be to see a chiroprator and see if that helps. Tell her/him about your migraines.

    Re: Headaches

Hi, I also get headaches aka migraines and I do have albinism I been to many doc for the problem but I have not had any luck I had to be give a proscription pain med for them since the OTC stuff does not work. As for work and the computer have you ever looked at software such as Zoom Text? That's the program I use and it helps a lot. If you from MD I know a place where you can get a trail to see if you like it. If not see if you have a local Department of rehabilitations Services I would google it with your state name behind it. Hope that helps.
