    2010 Conference

Smile We had to leave Vegas a little earlier than we'd have liked, and missed the breakfast this morning. Can someone please tell me where the 2010 NOAH Conference is going to be held?

The 2008 conference was awesome, but I just hope that next time it can be more family friendly.  There were NO changing tables anywhere.  We had to all lay our kids on the floor, etc to change them.  Othewise, it was awesome!!

No, they did not announce that part.  They just said that it was going to be in DC.  I am sure that you could email Lori or one ask one of the directors.  I am so excited, because it is so close to me.

Great!  I know we can make Washington, DC.  We could actually even drive if we were ambitious enough.  Yay!

We had a blast meeting so many different people!. I have to say I people watched more than anything! I love the way people from NOAH are like one big family. I love the seminars and being abled to ask adults with albinism questions. I see how some people with albinism has extreme vision lost and others who can drive. Either way, with Andy growing up within this community he will be ok. I am very excited about DC, only a few hours drive for us! We will be there!!! I do not think we will miss any. I want my kids to grow up with their new friends!!!

    Thanks NOAH!!!

    Jill,

I second that motion!  I was so impressed by everything that I saw.  I am still not completely ok with everything but it SURE helped to see the Albinism community at it's best.  I really enjoyed Saturday night and seeing all of the children on the dance floor.  It was so awesome.

Thanks again to everybody for their words of encouragement!  I am now permnately a member of the NOAH family and will try my harderst to ensure that Jathan never misses a NOAH conference as long as I can.

Thanks Again Everbody... It was simply amazing!!!

They don't know the hotel yet - or set dates.  Scott (my husband) and I have been writing down ideas for DC conference- we live just south of there...outside the 'belt'.  It will be a blast!!!!   Now to decompress from this conference.

    Re: 2010 Conference

Hi to everyone!  First off, I can not wait til the next conference!  I can't think of another word other than amazing.  I met people from 6 or so weeks old all the way to in their 80's....the educational benefits are unlimited right now, I came home with a list of things I needed to do for my son and so on...things I didn't have the resources to do before hand.  The families were some of the sweetest people I've ever met, so friendly, willing to stop on a dime for a picture and so on...The boys were so cute and the girls were just beautiful.  My son met Ryker and said "mom he looks like me"  My only complaint other than the rude staff of the HOTEL, is that I wish the daycare would have been open from the start of the first session to the end of the last session as I had to miss 4 sessions I really wanted to see because (those who met my son Dylan) would NOT sit through them!  I can't wait for the 2010 conference...I only hope that there are more print outs of the powerpoints for us to be able to bring home and share!  Thank you to everyone and I cant wait to see you all again in DC!

Samantha,  I so agree with you about the print outs... I tried to take notes, but I feel like there was so much information in such a short period of time.  Everyone keeps asking what I learned, and I just keep saying "A Lot"... LOL   Its like I can't pinpoint much of anything, its still just overwhelming.  My poor husband... I promised him a "brain dump" and right now, not much of anything's coming out.  Except how I wished the pool had been open later... :)
