Yea, i agree too. It would have been easier to have copies of the sessions. Maybe for the next conference there can be some type of funding for the people to make copies of their sessions. It would be a lot of paper though, lol. What did they say over 850 people??? Also, have the daycare open for all the sessions. We missed some sessions because my 2 lil ones  would not sit quietly. Maybe have some volunteers fill in the gaps for the next one. As for changing rooms too, I do not thnk DC will be a problem. I am so excited. Now, that we are back. A few of us moms were thinking about running for the Board of Directors. I think it would be fun, and apparently a lot of work! They did such a great job with this conference....

Did anyone notice how Dr. Summers and Dr. Hertle kinda had opposing view points on nystagmus? We still have our appointment with dr. Hertle on the 28th. We are keeping it, actually trying to move it up a lil.

Wow!  The conference just FLEW by!  Talk about information overload...  I agree, print-outs of the powerpoint presentations definitely would have been helpful.  People ask me what I learned at the conference, and I'm at a loss for words...I learned a lot, but it's hard to give examples of specific things.

Even if I forget half of the stuff I learned in the sessions, meeting everyone was the BEST!!!   I can't wait until the next conference. Big Smile

    Jill,

I know what you mean about the differences between the two of them.  All that I can say is that as a nurse, I frequently see medical professionals take different stands on issues even when they are both specialists in the same field.  I mean look at the jerk that I saw as a PO.  He didn't even want to see my son again until he was 3.

All that I can say is that after hearing everything, I have kept my appointment with Dr. Hertle for August 9th.  So, you can see what my opinion was after sorting through the information.  I will leave no stone unturned with my son and if the surgery only gives him one more line of vision hey that's one line that he didn't have before.  I would do it for myself and I will try it for him as well.  That's how I make my decisions.  I think to myself would I do this or want somebody to do this for me?

We had an awesome time at the conference.  Everyone was so friendly and nice, I felt so comfortable there.  I'm reading about everyone who was there from AOC and it would've been nice to meet everyone.  Wouldn't it be cool if there was an AOC meet and greet session at the next conference so we all could meet each other and put faces with names?  I really enjoyed meeting the people I did get a chance to talk with and just felt as though we already knew each other!

I'm also on info overload and am now trying to process everything and sort out what next steps to take with Ryker.

Did someone say DC???? I"m so excited!!!

My husband and I live in Ellicott City, MD that is thirty minutes away from DC.  WE ARE GOING and this will be my first conference!  If anyone needs any suggestions etc, please feel free to call me about MD.  I grew up in Baltimore County, so I know my way around this crazy state :)

    Looking forward to it!

You should come to the DC NOAH events - we mostly have them in NoVA where the folks that plan them live.  We have a yahoogroup as well.
