When I was a school aged kid the most they had for children w/ Albinism is "special education" - honestly growing up is just not going to be a cake walk for your child. I kind of wished my mother wouldve embraced that so that I could have been more prepared to face the teasing, name calling, nit picking, not being able to fit in no matter how hard I tried. Having a great sense of self worth is mroe important than anything because your child is going to deal with a lot. My mom raised me psuedo independent the other half of the time she tried to protect me , which wsa very sweet but very useless when I got older. Watch "Ray" remember the part when "Ray:" was begining to loose his site and his mom made him find stuff on his own...thats kinda in my opinon the best way.
