Hi my name is Travis and I live with Ocular Albinism and Nystagmus. I am 18 and am starting to cope with my situation but the thing I am having problems with is dating. It seems almost every girl I try to approach or talk to is weired out by the movement of my eyes and it is really stopping me from having a relationship. I have been quite depressed lately and have had to go to some therapists for fear I would hurt myself. My question is for the guys out there. How have your dating lives been?  first of all i see from the number of posts you have that your new here so welcome among us and i assure you you have com to the right place

second i advise you to post the same topic in the adult with albinism forum and to do a little search as their have been previous topics on dating(check the upper right corner of the page)

third there is a TV series called "how i met your mother" it is a comedy series but contains lots of dating facts and tips you should be able to find them as DVDs

fourth i havent started dating yet for multiple reasons ( long story) but from what told me my therapist we myght take more time then usuall before we star dating because people avoid us and we can not see girls well also from what tels me my brother in universeti you will feal much better

Hey yall, I'm Megan. I'm not a guy but a little advice. If you cant find someone who cant accept your albinism she really isnt worth it. Yall need to find girls who accept you the way you are and still love you despite your albinism. :)

well, wat i think the problems wth me r : unable to see girls from far, unable to recognise them once met, can not hav eye interaction, drive problems, girls not prefer us , girls lik to hav normal bf, vobble eyes (nystagmus) etc etc

Atin, you dont need to be able to see people from far away to have a relationship with them. They'll just have to get close enough to you. If she's worth it she wont mind driving herself.

what a topic is dateing so inportent i never realised well i am from india tooo the points above atin mentioned is right i gone through that . in my case whenever i meet any girl i try to make her laugh talk on fun topics to make her confortable with me . if i act like dull face busy in my own problems she will be deffenetly bore .......even a normal boy feels depress if he cant able to handle his date so dont take it as albinism issue .
