My son has been diagnosed with albinism, you know how it goes they say wither OCA 1B or 2 we're not checking further blah blah... anyway for other reasons we reecently had an immunologist check for a low immunity. They said the test cam back that his iga levels are eithr low or non existant (this means his antibodies type A). They don't feel the need to check which one (i don't know why). They said this could be extremely serious if he ever needed a blood transfusion, but otherwise just watch and see if he gets lots of infections. My question is, can this have anything to do with the type of albinism he has or can those with HPS have this kind of problem. I'm wondering if it's related at all. thanks for input. my son is 2 1/2.
