Grwoing up I knew I had vision issues and in school it was constantly pointed out by other children that i was "white". Doctors had refered to the albinism, but usually that made me just more uncomfortable and reminded me of how I felt being picked on in school. I am now 32. I have two children of my own and am interested in finding out more about albinism for myself and my family. Unfortunately, I found this website just short of the conference! Is there anyone in the Chicago area. Southwestern suburbs to be more exact. I am also interested in finding out more about my vision and what is available for me. As a child i was constantly having my eyes checked. I still currently see a doctor about every 2 years or so, but I am interested in finding out if there is someone with more specialization for me. Any help would be great!
