My name I Sheri Brown, I am married to Ed and we have 4 children. Zackary was born in 1993 and he has OCA1, Brandon was born in 1994, Isaac in 2001 and Brooke in 2002. Our boys are all biological and our daughter is from China. Brooke was adopted at the age of 3.5 and her special need was said to be albinism however she also has autism.
I spend my time looking for ways to improve the lives of my children. Zack and Brooke both had the tenotomy procedure with Dr. Hertle with huge success. Brooke’s acuity was 20/800 prior to surgery and today she has an acuity of 20/89 with teller cards and without correction. Zack’s acuity fluctuated prior to the surgery ranging anywhere from 20/180 to 20/300 depending on the time of the day. Today his best acuity is 20/70 with best correction.
I have recently spent much of my time researching autism and medical intervention for autism. I will gladly share information about this with anyone who wants to listen. We have seen huge gains in Brooke’s abilities and the improvements correlate with the amount of her viral load.
